This is what we've found.
*A tarantula! Ya! As big as a phone! In our drive way. Eeeeeeeeek!
*We frequent two of the five libraries. They have story time or something like it everyday. We don't go every day. But we've rented a bazillion movies. Books too. Peyson won some prizes for the summer reading program. He's a cute spy detective.
*The splash pad. It's free. It has shade and a playground too.
*The zoo. It's free on Monday's. We found out why. It's small. It's hot. And it's small :)
*The mall. It has AC and a cool play place where the kids run wild. Really wild.
*There's a school just down the road. We walk there a lot. One day we played some baseball. Peyson is still a baller!
*The $2 Theatre. You pay for it in popcorn and soda.
*Our friends' pool. And babysitting swaps. Yeah!
*Now that Daddy is working, the days are much longer. When we've all had enough, we run through the sprinklers.
*Church friends play group
*BBQs with the residents and program directors
*When the days are too hot to do anything else. . .mostly every day. . .the kids play in the teeny tiny pool. I read. The babes are turning brown fast.
We love Amarillo just like we have loved any other new home. Another place to enjoy life's experiences with the people we need right now.

Yo are so awesome. I hope I can be as positive and outgoing as you when we move to Arizona. Love you and miss you. Glad you love it there
Sounds like you have found lots of fun things to do! Thank goodness for cool water on hot summer days... :)
So glad you are adjusting. The kids don't look like they mind all that water fun one bit!
The second best thing about auto sprinklers is being able to turn them on for the kids to run through...first of course is not forgetting you left the sprinkler on for 11 hrs and get a fat bill...
Glad to have you in the ward!
