Cadillac Ranch

Amarillo has a fun little gem.  Some rich guy let 3 other guys bury 10 Cadillacs, ranging in all different makes and models, nose down, along I40, in the middle of a field.  And they call it art.  People from all over are encouraged to stop to get their graffiti on.  So they do.  They spray, take pictures, dump their cans on the ground, and leave.

Kevin and Paige came for the weekend and Derek had to work, so we decided to go vandalize :)  It was pretty fun actually.  Peyson sprayed blobs where he could reach.  Ainslee played with the spray paint lids and sat in the dirt.  Kevin and Paige got their graffiti on.  And I took pictures.

Peyson loved it so much he didn't even realize it was all over his hands.  Until it was time to go, then he was freaking out that it was sticky and that it would get on his food.
Ainslee found some wet paint so her hands were splotched, too.  And she was hungry.  And tired.  So she wasn't much impressed.  Though she did love the freedom of running all over without restriction.

And then we went to Chick-fil-a.  It has a play place.  Kids.  Easy to please.  And who doesn't love chicken and waffle fries?  Yum.

I think we will visit again.
Y'all are welcome to come visit any time you feel like a rebel.  Or wanna make art.  Or wanna scribble your name all over and take pictures.
